busy, busy, busy

so i've been home for a while - as per my last post. and i went to conyers yesterday, to get my transcript, and once i got there, found out i couldn't get it there, and had to go to clarkston. so off i go (not really that far, actually) and get my transcripts, then drive back to athens, go to the graduate school and turn them in - haven't heard anything. so josh and i go downtown to kill some time, and look at the art store and the book store (i got 5 new books - 1 new, the rest used) and then go to the drama deptmt to talk to tracey and deal with paperwork - they're going to pay me over 8 thousand dollars in the span on ten months! that rocks. actual money. that's more than i was getting at unc, and my costs will be less, at least for as long as josh stays here - and even then, the rent will still be $241 less. yay. so we got up this morning, and i goade djosh into action (he probably would have been happier staying up and doing all of it than getting up this morning) and i resteamcleaned the bathroom (steamcleaned the living room, hallyway and bathroom last night) and then steamcleaned the bedroom.

the cats, of course, did not reacquaint well, so now josh's cat, spooky, is in the bedroom - it was either give her her own room, or have her hide under a chair for a week, and this is just better, i think. i am hoping she will get used to the idea of the other kitties (she sees them occasionally, and came out briefly last night). so now, we're finishing putting stuff back, (or josh is) and washing clothes, and i am getting ready to go out and mow the grass - i wish i could just pay someone else to do it! :)

then we're off to atlanta, as i have a doctor's apptmt at 4:15, and we'll be staying the night up there. (oh, yeah, and we need to make trash and thrift store runs before that! ugh!) There is simply not enough time in the day, i tell you. of course, i am sure that most people already know that. so, off to north carolina again tomorrow, to finish the wee bit of packing that i have left, and then move all my stuff down here - i think this weekend is going to suck. at least i'll have a week of rest.

wanna talk about progress.. :) so before, i would just run myself ragged no matter what, and try and cram as much into a day as possible. Now, i realize that having fivemillion things to do completely stresses me out - so i called the doctors office and cancelled my apptmt. it wasn't an important apptmt anyway, so it wasn't a big deal - and it means that we can now go to atlanta later in the day and not have to worry about getting up there by a certain time. Unfortunately, this have wiped out our incentive to work quickly, but i think we are getting that back.

so i even get to get my film developed. :) and then we'll head up to atlanta later, and maybe even hit the art store, to look at art supplies, since i don't have paints or paintbrushes anymore, really.
