Aug. 7th, 2001 10:53 amso, while i slept, my computer was murdered. :)
no, not really. it was more of a suicide attempt, i think, and we're hoping the hard drive will still be salvageable.. really hoping. i would hate to go fetal position for a couple of days instead of unpacking! we're scouring the net and phone books for new computer prices, thinking of heading up into atlanta tomorrow to look around.. and luckily, i have josh's other computer to work from until then, so all is well, i think. i may still be in schock though.. I am of the opinion that if it died, there's a reason, and maybe that reason is for me to get a bigger and better computer. :) of course, what sucks is that it dies as we were attempting to add memory, so i spent $60 on it yesterday,, ohwell.
other than that - the cat has an apptmt at the vet this afternoon, rabies shots and all that. we're still unpacking - priced shelves yesterday, and discovered we could line the wall in here (minus 4 feet) for around $100, which is neat. always wanted to have this wall shelves. need it, at this point. the kitchen is walkable, and the living room is almost so - set up the tv in the bedroom, just need to move the stereo and vcr in there, now.
