so we're off, to go to the september birthday thing at josh's family's at the lake. i am glad we're going - it's a *gorgeous* day here.

of course, i know what everyone will be talking about, and I just want to escape for a while.. which seems almost impossible.

oh well - there's always theatre history.

we went to the family thing - there was a new baby there! I was excited.. her name is julia, and she's three weeks and a day old - and I got to hold her for an hour, at least.

yeah, i know. I'm not really a baby person. But I am. I just don't want to sacrifice my life to a child.. they seem to require an awful lot of work, and I just don't think I am up for it. But I love to hold other peoples. :)

josh's family thing was fun - i think i may be considered kind of permanent, there. it having been six years, I guess I could see that. (laugh) But I still don't know a lot of the names, and that's bugging me.. I'll figure it out - there are really only a couple right now I don't know, and then the children.

have lots and lots of homework to do, so I'm off to go and do that. used to be, i would look at my to do list every day, but not so much lately - i guess it's because i've been focussing on projects that were due day to day, and not worrying about the long term effects. now stuff has started to catch up with me, and that's bad.

i told josh that i really wanted to clean up the living room (it's gotten pretty bad, and was really getting to me and we may be having people over at some point, and I would really like to show them that my house isn't alway absolutely filthy. :) ) and he didn't want me to, which is a good first response to homework avoidance tactics, which this probably mostly was.. but that's okay. I convinced him to let me clean for a half hour, and nowI feel a lot better about the living room. need to find some of my bills and pay them, really soon now.. (sigh) they never seem to end, and neither does my list of things that I need to be doing! ohwell. maybe i can volunteer at usitt, and get my $150 membership waived..

so now, i go to do my homework. josh is going to the fabric store, and a friend may be coming over later, not sure. and dinner will be happening at some point.

buffy reruns (from the first episode) start on fx sept 24th - monday. and the new episodes start on october 2nd on upn.

yay.

got a little bit of homework accomplished, but not anywhere near what i was supposed to. bad me. i'll do more tomorrow. i'm going to bed now.
