Oct. 26th, 2001 09:57 amso we managed to make it to the library, where i returned some of my feminist and twelfth night books, so that jess could have them if she wished, and i did research (some) on hamlet, romeo and juliet, and taming of the shrew. it would seem that I am on a shakepeare kick right now. :) I know I didn't do everything that was on my list yesterday, but I am going to try and be good in the two hours that I need to be here for the cable man, and get lots done.
We didn't go rollerskating last night, as the rink was closed, but we did go and see the movie From Hell. We had some seriously clueless people behind us, but the movie was wonderful. I love an irish redhead.. before we went to the movie, we went to the grit, and stuffed ourselves. :) we each got a dessert and them shared. Miss jen came out, and it rocked.. it was really nice seeing her again, as it's been almost a month. we're still stopping by tonight to see her, and her kitty. :)
All in all, it was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had out in a long time. When we got home, Josh told me that we should really reinstate the movie night once a week thing, that we almost had going when school started, whether it was a movie out somewhere, or a rented movie, and I completely agree.. especially if I can keep on top of things, like I hope.
I stayed up to try and win my auction, but I was only willing to go to $70, and thus, lost it in the last 30 seconds.. josh told me it was okay, that we'd just order it - i think he was confused on whether or not it was for him or me - the intention was to get it for him for xmas, and me wear it sometimes, maybe. :) but it's alright - i'll figure out something else for him for xmas.
we cleaned yesterday, too, which was good - the cable man should be able to access the tv combo easily, and josh set the vcr to record stuff this afternoon, so i hope that doesn't screw anything up. i don't want to have to be here for that stuff - i'd rather be at work, cutting stuff out, i think. we'll see whether or not i get everything done today - i may have to go in tomorrow or sunday, and work on stuff as well. which kind of sucks, but will make me happy as I'll then be ahead, and can kind of take my time with the real thing - plus, I'll have an idea early on of how much I have to do, and can plan my time accrodingly.
Next week is Samhain, and I'm excited. we'll find out today whether or not josh is working. either way, I figure we'll put out a bowl of candy on the steps, and then put crepe paper across the top so they don't come up onto the porch - they still get candy, we don't get bothered - sounds good to me. :) My tarot cards have started calling to me, because they know i am going to pick them up and use them next week. Pretty much the only time of the year I do, really. I am thinking of going out to the intramural fields, or may to the park, although it's closed by that time, anyway.
