got up early-ish, mostly cleaned out the car. gmother called to be sure i was awake (how old am i? :) ) and to tell me to call her when i left, so they knew i would be there on time. 'k. josh went to go and shower, and then go to work - i'm going to leave soon, just because there's not really anything else to do, except wait, and I may as well be on the road! I imagine they'll get a saturn out in athens about the time I leave. :)

josh brought me home glow in the dark glitter the other day. it's awesome, and so is he. :) i haven't really tried it yet - maybe tonight, since I think we're heading up to the chamber to see dana's show. maybe we should call miss jen, and see if she wants us to stop by..

i'm off. saturn and grandmother, then back out here to clean up the living room, because it's a royal mess again. art opening and party tomorrow, both out here, and back to the grandmothers on sunday. other than that, no real plans for nect week until thursday, which is lammas, seeing matt for lunch-ish, and tim and robyn for dinner. of course, i have *plenty* to do. :)

phew. i am home, finally. poki seems unimpressed by the mealworms that I traveled at atlanta to get for him. yeah, bite me, pig. :)

my car is fine, my brakes are fine. they didn't fix my sun visor, which they'll hear about, probably, but it's not essential to the workings of the car, just annoying. went shopping with my grandmother - hit the motherlode at walmart. got 3 skirts and 2 black tops (of course. more baby doll tees). walmart not only has the typical patterned broomstick skirt right now, but they also have tiered skirts (at least in black and reddish) and broomstick skirts with sparkly lines going down them, for a little bit of a classier look. I'm going to try on the ones I bought (and my gma bought for me, even after I explained that I completely didn't expect her to buy me $50 worth of clothing, but that the walmarts out here might not have it) and then go hunting for more out here - i go through skirts way too fast not to have a couple of the same ones, especially for $15. :) and black tiered skirts? those rock.

also got a branch for labyrinth to climb on, but it's too tall, of course. will have josh look at it when he gets home, and see if there's anything we can do, or if i should take it back. and more food for kitties - the stuff they've been eating for the past day and a half is old old old, since we switched them back to iams weight loss formula. so i bought them new stuff, in the hopes they will like it better. (hah!) and, needless to say, i've gotten almost nothing but shoppping (and saying hi to my dad) accomplished today, so I should start cleaning up the living room now, probably. :)

well, we *were* going to go out tonight. :) but then josh's head got all stuffy, and i got semi-tired - and he decided to take a bath to try and fix his head and aching muscles, and he's still in there - so the assumption is that we're no longer going out. i started on my closet, in any case - a bag and a half of trash came out of it, and a TON of shoes/jewelry/clothes (mind you, this is just the bottom, not the hanging part so much) and a small laundry basket of fabric stuff, which i hope to consolidate into the studio, someday. i keep finding more and more fabric - anyone want some? :) bargains galore, i say - just to get some of this stuff out of my life. all the fabric i didn't think i could live without, i suddenly *can*. :) of course, the good thing is that i have wool and crushed panne and such to sample to the kiddies in my class (they're undergrads, so not exactly kids, really). and i may even pass along some of my fabric, should they not have the ability to get to a fabric store (there really isn't much out there).

discovered that i have -
rough designs due on a monday
comprehensive exams on the wednesday
finals due on the following mon/tues

and dragoncon is the weekend inbetween! so i freaked out a little, because i really want to go to dragon, and i *Really* need to do well on this, as it's my qualifier, and thus, i can't just blow it off. not that i think i'd be capable of that, anyway, but hey. so i'm now plotting to get in touch with my director, really soon, (I emailed him yesterday, will start calling on friday) and start working on that stuff now, so that I can get roughs approved, and then work on my finals and such. eee, i say. but i want to at least be able to go to saturday of dragon - i don't know when ghoultown, etc, is playing, but i'll find out. i'm sure josh wouldn't mind a bit of time to play on his own without worrying about me. :) or me worrying him, one or the other. (laugh)
