Jul. 29th, 2002 11:35 amlasik surgery = $2400 per eye. wow. :) i'm still comsidering it. i need to have my eyes looked at by an opthamologist (?) to have them tested and be sure that they are ok to have this done to them. and the $2400 does cover all the checkups and such for a year, so it's pretty reasonable, i suppose. (laugh)but still - eep.
off to the used bookstore, once josh has finished lunch.
successfully did a budget, which i'll be on starting september, since that's when I'll have a steady income again. and it seems reasonable, and it *seems* to account for frivolous spending (of a limited amount). we'll see how it works.
checked my mom's & step-father's cell phones - the contract ends in december. which if mom doesn't have the money to pay me by then (I've been absorbing the cost for about 2-3 months, now) i'm discontinuing hers, at least. i know, it's crazy. if she *does* have the money to pay me, i'm going to suggest that she switch to verizon - she and paul could both get a cellphone, and do a family plan, have cellphone access at home (which they don't currently, but I do at their house, and I have a verizon phone) and still save $20 a month. which would be cool. granted, they would be sharing their daytime minutes, but they don't really use their daytime minutes at all right now. so i think it would be a better deal.
