needlegrrlso my yesterday. (big sigh)
went out to run errands - get more wax, go to the post office, etc. I pulled into the driveway, and it's a possibility that i fiddled with my key a bit - took my key out of the ignition, but my car was pretending to be on.
pretending to be on? yeah. it wasn't running, but the radio would still come on, and I could put it in any gear with the key in or out (it's an automatic). so that was weird, but I figured it was something stupid that I had done, so I called my dad - he didn't know. so I called saturn - david didn't understand me, and suggested it was the battery. since josh was at work, and no one else was available to give me a jump, i called the extended warranty people, and they called a towtruck. i relayed info to my dad - he thought it was all wrong, so *he* called david. apparently, david and I had miscommunicated, so I rode with the tow truck up to conyers to get a rental car. naturally, when my car got to saturn, it started for david. i got a rental car (i'm leaving out all the fury and yelling) and drove home.

robyno is coming over for dinner, as it is her birthday, and i was supposed to bake her a cake and cook dinner - and now the living room is *more* of a mess, because I unloaded all the stuff from my car into it.
So I flipped out a bit, but the wonderful boyfriend that i have came gallantly to the rescue - started the preparations for dinner, took out the trash, set up a tape for buffy, and baked the cake. I got home, started cooking dinner, frosted the cake, and started taping buffy. :) (he had an art opening that he wanted to go to at 7, and i think he got there not too long afterwards) so yeah - my day was interesting.
and frustrating - cars are supoosed to *work* dammit, when you take care of them. and so today I'm waiting to see when they call - i then have to take the rental car back to the rental place and have them ferry me back to saturn. but the car is only costing me $14, and that's for the walk way insurance - satrun covers a car rental up to $30,
