new phone! :)

i got the new phone bug, and went out and got one, since i have a really basic one from several years ago. and i convinced cerizon to give me a new phone credit (woo!) and got a cute little flipphone. yes, it has a camera -although i'm not really sure how useful that will be.

i also have an extra 50 minutes a month, and unlimited verion network calling, which is nice. woo.

my teeth are okay - the bottom left one is swelling a bit, no surprise, really, since that's the one that they couldn't numb all the way. i had a smoothie for breakfast, and some scrambled eggs. (which were *way* better than the smoothie!)

i know i could probably eat real food by now, but the dentist told me i was super-prone to dry socket in the bottom two, since the holes are so big. so i'm trying *really* hard to be good. really hard. sigh.

real food tomorrow, i think. :)

I had dry socket. Oil of Cloves is your friend.

I was looking at that one when I got my new one. One suggestion, abuse the hell out of it in the next week or so to really test it out. A lot of V-employees on forums I was looking at when deciding on phones said that some of those had issues. But I loved my last LG phone and every phone has bad ones. If it takes the same data cable as my old one I can give you mine. I don't need it anymore.

you're going to have to irrigate those holes! They neglected to tell me that until after rotting food particles gave me dry socket. everything you put in your mouth gets in those damn sockets! espcially smoothie goo!

When I got dry socket, my dentist would soak thin strips of something...maybe cotton gauze?...into oil of cloves and pack it into the socket. It made the pain go away very quickly. I would imagine that it's something you could change out at home, too.
