i think i have done well so far this morning. I gave up on my theatre history reading yesterday - there's only so much i am willing to put myself through! (laugh) But I will finish it tonight, and hopefully get a head start on the rest of it, since I'll be at dragon this weekend, and i really hope i don't have time for schoolwork. :)

So I currently have two checking accts, a savings acct, and a cd.. I am going to close one of the checking accts, as soon as I start using the other, and then wait to make sure nothing else is pending. But, the good thing I did was to put all of them in my palm, so I can balance them (do you *know* how long it's been since I balanced my checkbook?I honestly can't remember. I think last year at this time, I tried.) and this time (isn't this what i always say?) i hope to keep up with it. because soon, i'll be in the real world, and not able to have a cushion of student loans, and I would really like this to be a habit by then, and not a struggle.

last night, I registered for the continuing education beginning drawing class. I'm both looking forward to it and dreading it. My original thought was that I wasn't being graded for it, so it was ok - well, now I find out that my major professor and the teacher for this class just happen to be really good friends, and will definately discuss my progress. (since they discussed which class of hers I should take. :) ) This is okay, though - it should push me more, and I suppose that's what I need. I am liking UGA better than chapel hill, after all. at times, i wasn't sure that i would. I worked in the shop yesterday, and tina (my shop mgr) showed me two cloaks that she wanted me to make similar ones of, and gave me the fabric, and then, essentially left to go to a meeting. ack! But it wasn't hard - I'm almost done with the second one - i'll finish it tomorrow. It was really nice feeling capable of doing osmething like that, and I think that Tina was pleased, too. I've gained confidence from the CH thing. And Sylvia Pannell (my major professor) told me that she wished she could send all of her students there for a year - they came back so sweet and appreciative. :) I found this funny. And could just imagine Judy's response to it!

I really want my couture notebook back. I think I will wait until mid-sept, maybe, and hope that she's had time to do it. i need to call or email someone up there, and see if they are coming to alabama or not.

well, I should really go ahead and go to school - after i make myself some coffee.
