i proposed this to the wombats, and now it's your turn.. i know who i should *really* call about this, but I don't know how to get in touch with her.. ugh!


I need to propose a new production (as in, hasn't bee done before) of a play, in a paper for class. (shurg) so far, not so bad. I have a concept,
though - I really want to costume it in j-rock, japanese gothic/lolita style. But, I need to find a play that that would work for... and i am not sure exactly what that would be.. Ideally, it would be something that is
shakespeare, that I could also write a historiographical essay on.. (and if anyone knows what *that* is, let me know. ) but at this point, i'm not as concerned about combining my research as I am about doing what I'd like to
with the play.

I'm also looking for suggestions on japanese culture research - and it would have to be pretty current.

two years ago i saw a gothic Midsummer Night's Dream....it kicked oh so much ass....all the faeries were goths and the humans were high school kids and Bottom and Co. were punks....reminded me a bit of rocky horror
