Dec. 21st, 2001 11:55 amso, so far i have started on the living room, worked a little on the kitchen, and almost completed the bathroom., i feel like the bathroom is always the room that can manage to be messy - we spend so litlle time in there, but it's always the one I really *want* to clean. :) i doubt i am going to make it to the post office today - i guess I'll do it next week. probably better that way, anyway. (sigh) the most important thing today has become to clean the house and make candles for presents tomorrow, monday, and tuesday. I am almost done, though.
my resolve to have the house cleaned has been renewed.. i also want to feng shui the house, and it needs to be clean for that, anyway.. it's always better when I have another goal in mind for cleaning the house other than for it to be clean - i always get tired, otherwise. but if the house being clean is just a middle goal, i seem to be okay. :) cleaning the bathroom was fun - i went through all the towels and such and organized them, because the top cabinet had become a jumble of terrycloth fabric.. so that will make me feel better, at least. I'm also bleaching the sink, shower curtain (from chapel hill, we don't use one here), and tub. (the shower curtain is bleaching *in* the tub. :) ) my theory is that since the tub gets dusty and dirty, if I clean the shower curtain, I can use it as a cover, and then just the top of the shower curtain will get dirty, and taking a bath won't require a deep cleaning of the tub before you do it every time. my goal is also to get the shower clean, eventually, but i think i am going to have to get some special cleaner for that, first.
i do so love it when i get in this clean and get rid of stuff mood. i currently want to run to an organizing store, to get me some organizers, but i am waiting until i am mostly done for that, so i can make a list, and just get what i need.
and i am doing laundry, too!
