it seems like every once in a while, i get just enought sleep that I really want more. (laugh) I'll sleep tomorrow, I say!

So I was at the allergists for about two and a half hours - I *really* liked her - liked her more that any doctor since Mariae, who is my nurse practitioner who chats with me while searching out my overies. hee. she's fun.
Lisa Hirsch, is this lady's name - she talked to me, and then they did the weight/height thing, and blood pressure - and then they did the allergy test. around my wings, which was cool. it seemed like they did my whole back - they did the usual round of trees and pollens and then they did foods (about ten of them). The conclusion has become that I'm allergic, drastically so to some (6+++) to most trees and grasses. Which I think is kind of funny - I can thank my mom for that, actually! I made a copy of that sheet, and plan on sending it to her in a thank you card. (laugh) I think she'll find it funny.

I'm also definately allergic to soy, and to chestnut (is that what nutmeg is made out of?). I'm possibly allergic to eggwhite and peanut as well - she had me have blood drawn in the lab, and she's going to call me with those reults, and then I may have to come in and do some kind of test, which I think involves eating those foods in front of her, but I'm not sure. She gave me three or four prescriptions - zyrtec, to take as needed, one for epi-pens (which made me think of [livejournal.com profile] krasota and I opted for excitement instead of fear for them), eyedrops, and a cream for ecsema. (which I'm not using, because I prefer [livejournal.com profile] wiwiff's amaranthe cream.
they started on one side of my back, and it hink they are supposed to leave it on for twenty minutes - the nurse started wiping it off when she finished the other side of my back, because the reactions were so strong. They kept telling me how good i was being, and what a great oatient I was - I keep telling them that the wings they were working around had hurt a lot more than this! they had to redo some foods on me, because they were too close to other stuff, and they weren't sure what kind of reaction they were getting. So, the allergist was actually a whole bunch of fun, believe it or not, and it makes me a much happier person to know that I *am* allergic to soy, although I am still experimenting with foods.

then I came home to a billion things to do - and some of them i was a couple of days late on. (sigh) but - i was together all damn semester - not being together for a couple weeks isn;t really a bad thing.

And we found out that josh's air conditionig doesn't work anymore, in rush hour traffic, in 90 degrees. ick ick ick. So, since my dad is giving me extra money for tax returns, we're getting it fixed, if possible. His horn hasn't worked in a awhile, and a horn is really an essential thing in athens/atlanta - people keep trying to drive him off the road and such, so for both his safety and mental health it needs to happen!

somehow last night i managed to get three out of the four things done for today that I needed to, and the fourth i'm in progress on (yay!) so I now feel much more prepared. i'll probably piss jess off again today by not allowing her to borrow *MY* copy of cabaret. but i don't care so much. hah.
