meant to be posted last night before i went to bed, but the internet connection was crappy.

candles currently made - 13.

candles being made before bed tonight, or mostly made, at least - 5.

cookies will be started next week - I think i made a cookie date with jess for wednesday. :) making cookies is really more fun with someone else. and the informal poll taken at the bar today seemed to suggest that snickerdoodles are the cookie of choice.

today - finished the five candles. haven't started more, because the boy was cooking. cleaned out one set of cabinets, cleaned out and off the fridge, went to the grocery store and the post office/mall. thinking about going to the video store and getting a movie. thought about going and getting a video game, but i think that has to wait until xmas break, or i won't accomplish anything this weekend. tonight - clean out and organize the cabinets under the sink so that I can put the trash can back under there, because i'm tired of it being in the way, make some candles, bake another cake so that josh can finish them when he gets home, maybe clean up the living room some/finish going through my shelves. we'll see.

and now, i have to go and bake that cake - i remembered why i had to do it earlier, because it requires 3 hours of cooling time. oops. if i do it now, it'll be done soon after josh is home. crazy me.

baked the cake, cooled the cake (on the wire rack) and now it's in the fridge for that hour and a half of cooling time. you know, it really looks and smells like a big brownie - wouldn't this be easier with brownie mix? :)

went to blockbuster, and got a movie for free, with this lovely card that my dad gives me pretty much every year. realized that there are three or four recent releases that I would like to see. which is nice, because we probably have that many free rentals on this card.

a mortgage company just called, and wanted to talk to the head of the household, so they probably wanted us to switch our motgage to them or something - but they freaked me out, and made me think that maybe i hadn't paid the mortgage (which I did, because I checked the new statement, and it would have said I was overdue if I hadn't. so there.)

eep, I say. eep.

I really want to have the money to go out and buy everyone presents. but i don't, unfortunately. (sigh) I love making stuff, but i felt the need to participate in the shopping frenzy today. I think i'm crazy.
