oh, how i've missed the sound of the modem connecting. i didn't know that i misse dit, but it's a strangely reassuring sound.

i've had cable for a while, but now that i am traveling, m back to dial up. :) and, most of the time, I have my sound turned off, so I don't hear the modem dialing and connecting. it reminds me of my bbs'ing days. :)

awwwwwwww yeah....you can tell the difference between a 14.4, 28.8 and a 56k connection handshake ya know?
