needlegrrlfinished the misty book. yay. of course, they left it open ended. a couple of loose ends, actually. and i discovered that I don't really like that series as much as the pure misty stuff, or even as much as her other elven stuff. nonetheless, it was good. and i finally gave in and got a barnes and noble discount card, which will probably pay for itself before december, with all the new misty and charles de lint coming out. (eep)
took a shower, and then debated about whether or not to call and cancel my hair appointment. i don't like the red hair dye - it all fades out, and then i'm just left with two different colors of brown. hmph. :) and i was thinking about getting my hair cut, but then i wore it down yesterday, and it seems to be a lovely length. even if it is a bitch to brush sometimes. so i'm considering a purply color, if they can make it stick, and i'm about to look over my hairstyles again, and see if there are actually any that would work with my hair - i let it dry on its own yesterday, to see exactly what it was like again. :) so i'm going to consider - and i could come out of this with anything. (laugh)
and i cannot *wait* for the amaranthe stuff. my last sugar scrub got left in my car for 5 days in the heat (I didn't have housing) not to mention the fact that I didn't seal it well in saint louis, and it was upside down, so some of the essential oils leaked out. (i am *so* the poster child for what *not* to do!) this time, i'm getting the new one, and i'm excited - and really really need it. and i get lotion, too. :) next I may try a masque - but i've never tried one before, so i'm not sure.

Date: 2002-08-03 08:30 am (UTC)My fave books (after LotR) are Elvenbane and Elvenblood. She co-wrote those with Mercedes Lackey. I've heard that she's coming out with a third in the series.
Also, for a shorter novel, Perilous Dreams is excellent.
