needlegrrltim and robyn came over, and that was fun - we walked, we went to the grill and i have half a malt and some apple pie. yum, even if it did make me sick. (not the grill's fault, just because it was dairy and sugar)
they hung out for a while, and now i'm getting mp3s in anticipation of making another mix cd. i have a couple of them, and i'm starting to get the hang of what things work and what things don't. not that i'll necessarily be able to carry that over to any new cds that i make, but at least i can re-make the old ones. :) i also have in mind trying to find non-annoying, non-offensive songs for costume shop mixes. the girl that didn't like ani is gone, but we're getting two new girls, and i have no idea what their musical preferences will be. i'd also like to make a soul miner's daughter/jennifer nettles band mix cd, and make a couple of others for myself just to pop in when things get rough - as i'm pretty sure they will be this semester. i'd also like to continue burning copies of the cds i have, so i can just leave a case with copies of cds (probably the ones that people listen to the most, and my favorites) in the shop, and don't have to worry about them being stolen. i'm tired of losing cds, or wondering if the cd is mine or someone elses. so that's another thing on the list of things to do - however, i can now burn cds on both my laptop and desktop, and i could burn cds on my desktop while working on my laptop.
