ever since I left nc, i've been missing backporch music. i used to listen to it every weekend that I was there - it was on friday, sat and sunday nights. it's a blend of acoustic folk music - from the 20s and 30s to modern, and from blues to celtic. well, ever since the athens radio stopped carrying thistle and shamrock, i've been listening to it from a station in iowa (missed it tonight, but i'll catch it tomorrow). in any case - i finally plugged into the real audio broadcast of wunc up in chapel hill. :) it makes lovely background music for homework and such.
of course, two sheets of foam weren't quite enough for my model building, so i need more before i can finish it. probably another sheet and a half, or really, two sheets.
today consisted of running errands, mostly. a multitester for josh to figure out what was going on with the dryer, caulk and a caulk gun, questing for and ordering 56 yards of fabric (eeek!), getting labyrinth a rat (and feeding it to her - my first time, with a rat), going to clothing stores & questing for narrator outfits - and seeing Lilo & Stitch. The movie was awesome - and only $1. :) I cried, even.
i have a list of to-do's for tomorrow, so hopefully I can get it all (?) done. mostly, my model has to be done, and it would be *really* good to start on my five shadow paintings that are now due on thursday. but it was nice to spend the day shopping, yet still accomplishing things, and going to a movie. :)
and i have lots of 50% off coupons for this month for jo-ann's. they have some very pretty, but expensive patchwork fabric there - a lot of velvets and such are in it, and the edges of each patch are actually serged - so it would be worth buying, in theory. :)
off to bed, or something, for me.
