so i decided to start keeping track of mood swings/depression cycles. because i have a feeling that it is on some kind of cycle with my body/the bcp or *something*. and i really don't have the itme or money to go to therapy right now, so if i can fix it myself, that would be lovely. :) and if not, at least i'll have a record of it! :)

FWIW, if you decide to go to therapy at some point this record will probably be helpful. Lo these many years ago when S was in therapy for a bit, the therapist had him track his mood swings.

There's plenty of places to get therapy that don't cost a lot - they'll do sliding scale. I'm hearing you don't have insurance - are you an employee of the University? you could go to the university clinic.

something that helps me a LOT...

i'm bipolar, OCD and GAD, fun with craziness! :)
i take high doses of Omega3 fatty acids. by high dose i mean 3 1000Mg softgel caps. I take them once a day. it has seemed to even out the mood swings (highs and lows). the highs are not nearly as high and the lows are not so bad either. it doesn't seem to help much with the anxiety or obsessive crap but the depression /mania cycle has really been better. there are some good studies out there regarding the Omega3 connections.

good luck!
