wow. i now bow to the tech support lady -
she was right, in a sense - i used dial-up, and i got my email. now i have to call charter. i think i'm also going to try it up at the school, just to see if i can get it from those servers.
ripebastard - mindspring doesn't block anyone but their own server from getting the mail, do they?

Date: 2002-12-10 10:26 pm (UTC)Now sending is another story because of spam issues where each ISP requires you to be on there network to use there smtp outgoing servers... As in only if you have an mindspring ip can you use smtp.mindspring.com etc etc
My guess is that charter might be having something happening on a router somewhere there is blocking port 110.
