intro, as per requested..

needlegrrlso I was talking to this lovely chick who was telling me all about raleigh and clubs and such, and she told me to at least post an intro up here, so here I am.
I'm 22, pagan poly bi female, who is continually searching for her perfect female. (as my boy tells me, there are many men who would sympathize. :) ) I am attending grad school at UNC-CH, and am about to start my second semester of my first year (as my tablemate tells me, we're 1/6th of the way through it..)
I started in on computers way back when, and even ran my own bbs for about 5 years. (My father thought it was cute) (and if you know what a bbs was/is, award yourself a kristy point)
back to grad school - i am going to grad school for costume technology, which is how to make cool stuff. and that's really what i would like to do. i am currently attempting to concentrate enough to learn, but it's somewhat difficult to do and still have fun. ohwell.
i have two cats, and my boy has my snake, since she's not technically allowed in my apartment.
I'm slightly overweight, but am losing weight for the first time in 4 years, so I am very happy about that. i recently bleached streaks (ahem, "lightened", excuse me. :) ) in the front of my hair, and very temporarily dyed them purple, although now they are back to blondish. it made me happy to finally do something that i had wanted to do for so long, and surprisingly, there haven't been any repercussions. What did i expect? i don't know, honestly. but something.
i have a tattoo and a piercing, and i would definately like to get more tattoos, and i would possibly like to get more piercings, although i don't have the money for either..
i think this is enough of an intro - i need to get up in the morning and drive back to chapel hill from athens, so i will go to sleep, i think.

Date: 2001-01-02 10:29 pm (UTC)Sounds like we're pretty similar physically right down to the blonde streaks that were recently dyed purple... :) I dont have any tattoos yet, but Ive had several peircings.. ears, eyebrow, nipples...
Right now all I have left is one nipple because the other migrated out, my earings always got caught on my hair, and I couldnt have the eyebrow ring at work.
Costume technology? Im completely ignorant on this, but do you mean the designing of costumes for people to wear? Or is it some term for something a bit more mechanical?
I work at a community theatre if you ever want any practice on costumes....
oh yeah... and give me a Kristy point... I used to play on bbs's all the time! :)
I have a dog now...I used to have 2 boas and one corn snake, but I live in a basement with no heat...and the snakes needed to be much hotter than I could regulate with space heaters... So they're with friends now.
Umm... ok, bed time! lol

We had to put a 100watt light for labyrinth, our ball python, and keep it going most always. (with black paper in the cage, so that it absorbs the heat, but it isn;t shining in on her all the time)
i only have one nipple piercing, but that's because it is having issues healing, or was, and josh isn't willing to sacrifice both of them at once. And a friend said to only pierce the smaller breast to accentuate it, or something along those lines. migrated out?
kristy point for you, then, in regards to the bbs'. what's really funny is running into people nowadays with the same handles they used to use, and realizing where i know them from!

Some peircings do, some don't... I just got unlucky with that one... it started getting closer and closer to the tip of the nipple so that I could almost see the silver through the pink...
at that point I freaked and decided I didn't need a scar, so I took it out...
I hate that!
