needlegrrlOKay, so i awoke this morning (after much discussion with both the alarm and the kitty - staying up until after 2 am and then trying to get up at 8, not such a great idea) to an internet connection that went out directly after i downloaded my email. At least it was incentive to come home! I eventually got out of there (after drugging the cats) and drove up here - the drive was uneventful for the most part, meeping kitties in the background, and a couple of phone calls (one to my music man for inquiries on types of punk music). Now I am home, and happy to be so, although i would be happier if I hadn't come hometo bills and if my josh were staying with me. But he has more school, so back down he will go.
he came in, a few hours after me, and we have eaten dinner (which i cooked - yay for me cooking) and set up my "craft" table - which is an 8 foot long banquet table, to be used for waxing and such. I am very very excited to have a new toy (especially since it was free). I am contemplating going out tonight, just for fun, but we're going out tomorrow night to explore gotham in chapel hill, to see what it really is..
COstume technology - a basic definition would be everything that happens once the design is handed off. So last semester i took - crafts:millinery, couture (sewing the judy way), costume design for the technician, and basic flat patterning. This semester I am finishing couture (it's a hard class, and i partied too much), taking tailoring (josh gets a suit. :) ), crafts:dyeing, costume history, and beginning draping. I am excited, yet wondering where this will really take me in life. at least i will know lots of cool stuff.
I am hoping that my digital camera/webcam is working again so that I can put a picture of me up, but we will see - the computer actually recognized it when we plugged it back in, so there is hope.
there is much to look forward to this weekend, and then next week work/school starts.
