job hunting..

okay, so apparently, the typical (and i'm not) jobsearch takes over sixteen weeks. meep.

i'm looking at ajcjobs, careerbuilder (which i think is tied into monster?), hotjobs, craigslist, creative loafing.. are there any other online job sites that anyone can recommend? i'm also signed up with temp agencies, looking at the dept of labor, checking out he local universities.. so that's about where i am on that one. and i'm open for lots of things - clerical, administrative, etc etc. so if anyone knows of anything, please do drop me a line. i'm currently in midtown, but i don't mind driving. and i'm definitely up for doing crafty projects in the mean time.

as a matter of fact, i'm starting solstice gifts today - later than i should, but hey - i have some free time. :)

Hm, most of the other resources I know of are technical-specific.

i don't know - maybe? i've had a couple of people look at my resume, and i just got a book with a section on cover letters. i think i can probably always use cover letter and resume help, though. :) theatre is so totally different.

I am always the downer!!! Since our economy is in a downturn, it can take longer than 16 weeks. That is just and avg the labor dept gives out. Good luck to ya. I have been unemployed i think about that long now, but my search is a little smaller than yours. :)

Hey Girl,

There will be an opening in our IS dept at ARMC for the help desk, just in case your search includes Athens as well as Atlanta. It isn't posted yet, but it should show up in a day or so. http://www.armc.org/opp.shtml It is pretty much an office manager job for someone who is technically savvy enough to help users change passwords, get quotes for computer software, etc.
