of the people on lj.

this is something that i was looking for for myself, and now my aunt wants one for xmas, as well, so i thought i would ask..

i'm looking for a ringbound (binder?) blank cookbook. It needs to be something that will allow me to add fullsize pages with recipes into it - whether that is by putting them into plastic pages, or by holepunching, i care not. ringbound is absolutely necessary, though.

i've hit up amazon and google'd and i'm not having much luck.

thoughts? (besides making one myself, which is the current assumption. and yeah - i need it in a week and a half. sigh)

Like this (http://www.dvo.com/binders.html)?

Honestly, I'd just get a three ring binder, page/card protectors, and print up a lovely cover on cardstock. They make binders that have vinyl/plastic front covers underwhich you can insert a page of paper.

And here are more (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/103-9474483-8280610?url=index%3Dblended&field-keywords=recipe+binder&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go).

Hey, girl!

Have you been to a kitchen supply store? They may have something.

I need to know as well....all these loose sheets of paper floating around is not a good thing (channeling Martha).

Hey, maybe a project for a Snack & Learn?

I made one for a gift a few years ago...complete with cutsie index tabs, those circle hole reinforcers and even a pocket in the front to slip in little cards and scratch paper recipes until she gets them copied to fullsize paper.

I also added some of the family recipes to the book and some nifty charts on measurement conversions and food substitutions (how to 'make' buttermilk, etc)

(One year I made a small cookbook of family recipes from grandma, aunts, cousins etc and gave it to family members for Christmas)
